Jason Michaelsen, recruiting and outreach coordinator, has been named Team Member of the Quarter for Global Connections to Employment!
Jason joined GCE as a custodian at MacDill Air Force Base. His outstanding performance led to three promotions in three years, culminating in a supervisor role. He then transitioned to a Recruiting and Outreach Coordinator position with the TENS team, where he has continued to excel.
His dedication to supporting people with disabilities, particularly veterans, is evident in his advocacy work. Recently, Jason represented the Source America/AbilityOne program at conferences in Colorado and Orlando and was featured on the Air Force Contracting Podcast.
Robin Bivins who nominated Jason for this award remarked, “Jason is passionate about working with people with disabilities, specifically Veterans. He has used this passion to create a more robust referral network in the Veteran space.”
On top of his hard work, Jason has many hobbies outside of the office. He serves on the board of the Rak Fishing Foundation, driven by his passion for kayaking. Thank you, Jason, for embodying GCE’s mission, vision and values.
