DeFuniak Springs, Fla. (Jan 25, 2024) – Alexis “Lexi” White, MS, is the new director of prevention and intervention services at Lakeview Center of Walton County. As director, White will manage prevention and community-based contracts, budgets and audits. In addition, she will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and payors to ensure compliance and timely, accurate reporting.
For more than 10 years, White has worked to assist at-risk youth and their families. She began her career at Lakeview Center in 2018. As a behavioral health therapist, she conducted substance abuse evaluations and psychosocial assessments. Additionally, she developed individual treatment plans based on individual needs, and she performed therapy with youth. Together, they focused on natural supports and healthy coping strategies related to mental health and substance misuse needs. White facilitated family therapy and maintained frequent contact with family members to ensure healthy, informed relationships that promote recovery. She monitored progress, maintained medical records, and reported to all parties involved. Also, she provided crisis interventions for youth and organized discharge planning and follow-up treatment. To support clinical team members, White facilitated training on policies and procedures, documentation standards, and therapeutic interventions.
White’s prior experience includes serving as a juvenile corrections officer and supervisor with Seneca County Youth Center in Tiffin, Ohio. She was then a therapeutic manager at Walton Academy for Growth and Change in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
White graduated from Tiffin University with a Master of Science in criminal justice with a concentration in criminal behavior. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice with a concentration in forensic psychology from Tiffin University.
