Employers looking for motivated job seekers are invited to Global Connections to Employment’s (GCE) 3rd annual Reverse Job Fair!

No table or setup is required. Area employers simply show up, visit tables and ask questions. Project SEARCH interns will display their resumes and showcase their skills on poster boards then share their goals for employment after graduating from the program this spring.

Project SEARCH is a program that provides real-life work experience combined with training in employability and independent-living skills to help young people with disabilities make successful transitions to adult life.

Two reverse job fairs will take place over the next month:

  • Wednesday, March 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Morris L. Eaddy Activity Center, located at 1110 W. Lakeview Ave. in Pensacola.
  • Wednesday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Holiday Inn Resort, located at 1299 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, in Fort Walton Beach.

As one of the nation’s largest employers of people with disabilities, GCE has replicated Project SEARCH sites at five locations across Northwest Florida.

Project SEARCH is a collaboration locally between Global Connections to Employment (GCE), Vocational Rehabilitation, Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Escambia County Public Schools, Santa Rosa County District Schools, Okaloosa County School District, Innisfree Hotels, Santa Rosa Medical Center and Baptist Health Care.
