
Shawn Salamida
Shawn Salamida is president of Lakeview Center, the behavioral health services affiliate of LifeView Group. His office is located at the Lakeview Center main campus in Pensacola, Florida.
Shawn returned to behavioral health in 2019 after serving 18 years in child welfare services. In his role, Shawn is responsible for outpatient, day treatment, case management, residential and specialty service lines that treat more than 25,000 people each year in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton and Dade counties. During his leadership tenure, Shawn served as president of FamiliesFirst Network, the child welfare affiliate of LifeView Group.
Spanning much of his career, he served in the field of children’s services throughout the state of Florida, receiving accolades for his innovative approaches to foster care services. The Florida Coalition for Children presented Shawn with the Champion for Children award in 2015 and the Distinguished Service Award in 2009. He was awarded the Executive Leadership Award by the Secretary of the Florida Department of Children and Families in 2014 for “unwavering support, partnership and advocacy.” In 2019 Shawn was awarded the Advocate of the Year PACE Award by the Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce for seizing every opportunity to help mistreated children who have been removed from their homes.
Shawn comes from a family of 10 brothers and sisters, seven of whom are adopted. Shawn and his wife Kathy have seven children, two whom are adopted from foster care and one for whom they are a relative caregiver. The couple also has five grandchildren.
